A Night to Remember: Celebrating the 2025 Phoenix Pride Preliminary at Stacy’s @ Melrose
Stacy’s @ Melrose hosted the 2025 Phoenix Pride Preliminary event, FIRE & ICE, on Sunday, August 4th. The night was a beautiful celebration of talent, where Jasmine Green Tea was crowned Miss Stacy’s @ Melrose 2025, and Mickey Del Rio took the title of Mister Stacy’s @ Melrose 2025.
The event marked the beginning of the Phoenix Pride Class of 2025, with both winners set to start their journey of fundraising for the Phoenix Pride Scholarship Program. The outgoing Miss & Mister, Rita DeMornay and Dick Skinny, were honored for their contributions during their reign.
Judges, including former drag queen performer Jason Parris, former Miss Stacy’s Trey DeGroot, Vanessa Ferrales (aka Rusty the Clown from Pain Proof Punks), Jeremy Bright of Ripple Phoenix, and former pageant titleholder Angie Symington, commended the contestants for their performances. They appreciated the blend of traditional and contemporary drag that made the evening truly special.
Mickey Del Rio shared a heartfelt message about how Stacy’s @ Melrose became a sanctuary during a difficult time, while Jasmine Green Tea expressed her gratitude for the support she received throughout the pageant.
